Vannin Healthcare is building the operating system for modern healthcare. Our flagship product, Greencube, is a HIMSS Stage 7 certified electronic health record with over 8 million patient records across 300+ deployments. We are investing heavily in AI and machine learning to deliver clinical decision support, operational optimisation, and predictive analytics at scale.

The Role

We are hiring two Machine Learning Engineers to join our growing AI team. You will design, build, and deploy production-grade ML models that power clinical decision support, early-warning alerts, patient-flow optimisation, and medication safety across Greencube.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy production ML models for clinical decision support, risk prediction, and operational optimisation.
• Build and maintain robust ML pipelines for training, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Work closely with clinicians, data scientists, and engineers to translate clinical problems into well-scoped ML solutions.
• Implement MLOps best practices — versioning, reproducibility, drift detection, and continuous evaluation.
• Ensure ML models meet clinical safety, explainability, and regulatory standards (MHRA, FDA, CE/UKCA).
• Optimise model performance for latency, cost, and scalability in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
• Contribute to the technical direction of Greencube's AI platform.

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years of ML engineering experience, including production deployment at scale.
• Strong Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, scikit-learn).
• Experience building and operating ML pipelines (MLflow, Kubeflow, Vertex AI, SageMaker, or equivalent).
• Solid software engineering fundamentals — version control, testing, CI/CD.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Strong communication skills and pragmatism.

Desirable

• Experience with healthcare data (EHR, HL7, FHIR, DICOM) and clinical NLP.
• Background in LLMs, foundation models, or generative AI.
• Familiarity with clinical safety standards (ISO 14971, IEC 62304) or medical device regulation.
• Postgraduate degree in ML, computer science, statistics, or a quantitative field.
